Tons of New Snakes -PICS!!!
Hi all, I am sorry I haven't been very active on the forum lately, but I have been very busy with school.
Anyways, I have recently aquired like 10 new snakes, and they are all less commonly seen colubrid species!
Hope you enjoy the pics! They are all great species to work with!
First up is my new pair of unrelated 2011 Broad Banded Bamboo Ratsnakes (Oreocryptophis porphyraceus laticinctus)!
Here is the male (he is about three months old now).
And here is the female (she was only about 3 weeks old when this pic was taken).
Next are my new Mocquard's Beauty Snakes (Orthriophis taeniura mocquardi)
This is my male (het for T- albino).
The female (T- albino)
Now for the Mexican Night Snakes (Pseudelaphe f. flavirufa), which are my sister's, but I thought I would post them with all mine!
The male (anerythristic).
The female (het anerythristic).
I got two female Trinket Ratsnakes (Coelognathus h. helena), but one had a prolapse, (which I was able to correct first, it then stayed in for two weeks, feeding twice, and then she prolapsed again) and it ultimately became infected and died.
This is the one that died. The other looks the same, just a tad darker in color...
I finally got a female Taiwan Beauty Snake (Orthriophis taeniura friesi) for my male to pair up with down the road!
I also finally got a male Blue Beauty Snake (Orthiophis taeniura callicyanous) to pair with my female when older. Don't worry, blue beauty babies often hatch out this color, and then change color as they mature.
And last but not least....
My new CBB 2011 hatchling Tiger Ratsnake (Spilotes p. pullatus)!!! (Sorry Michael! lol)
He is very young still, so his colors will change quite a bit, and he will get a nicer/brighter yellow on him once he is a bit older! He comes from great bloodlines, and has great looking parents!
He will grow to be a beast for sure!!!
And yes, even ater getting all these new snakes, I am still about to have my 1.1 coxi and 1.1 rhino ratsnakes come in soon (as soon as my Blue Line Rhino ratsnake female gets going), and in the spring I should be getting in some Mandarin Ratsnakes!!! As you can tell I love my "Ratsnakes" and other rare colubrids!
Hope you enjoyed!

Re: Tons of New Snakes -PICS!!!
Thanks everybody! I have now promised my parents that after I get my new Rhino Ratsnakes and Red Thai Bamboo Ratsnakes (O. P. coxi) in that I will not buy any more snakes as long as I live in their house still! lol Thankfully I should be out of their house by the start of next year's school year with the snakes since I will need to find an off campus place that will allow the animals anyways. This is because Lydia will be off going to college next year, and then I would have no one to take care of the snakes back at home while I am gone!
Glad you guys liked seeing the snakes!

My apartment complex is very accepting of pets especially if they're in cages...they just don't care at all about anything in cages.
