Some herps from my fall break camping trip
Well I just realized that I hadn't posted any of these pics yet.
Over the fall break my family and I went somewhere new for us, Lake Keystone.
While there Lydia and I did some herping (although it was mainly pretty cool temps). We didn't find a lot, but anything is better than nothing!
Here's a Blotched Water Snake that we got out form under a rock under the water.
Same water snake.
A Woodhouse's Toad we found under a big rock on the lake's sandy shore.
Brown Snake
Ribbon Snake
Fence Lizard
This is a Giant Ichneumons. I had never seen one before, but there were several together on a tree. I think it looks really cool!
Just thought I'd share these with you guys! Oh, and this spring it sounds like I will be able to help with some various herp related studies at OSU! I am excited!

Thanks!
Yeah I was surprised with what all we could find those few days! We also saw a nice looking and big Prairie King, but it was sadly DOR.

Awesome pics Cameron. Lake keystone is a cool place. I use to go striper fishing there a lot in the past. When I would fish below the dam, I would occasionally see some herps if the water was low.

Nice pics Cameron!! I saw a dead watersnake out on the road the other day. I can't believe there are that many herps out and about! Crazy!

Actually, I think that Ribbon snake was from when I was at Bioblitz! So it was found before fall break.
But the other stuff was out, and the lake water that the water snake was in was so cold!

Yeah, I really liked it there. I especially liked that there weren't too many people camping and being loud around us while we were there. I just don't enjoy camping trips as much when the sites are crowded and loud!
It was a really beautiful place as well!
