Eggs at last
Surprise, found 7 eggs in the indoor tub from either Wilma or Acorn, I think the latter. Been waiting a long time for them to lay. The two other eggs were not fertile. As far as the other pair, one egg is in Bryan's incubator. Would love to see at least one hatch and have a baby redfoot.

Alice, how exciting! I hope that at least some of them are viable! Of course, if ALL of them are viable, that will be even better!

Re: Eggs at last
More eggs.............Wilma buried five but I broke one digging them up. No blood spot in the yolk. <sigh> and one egg from Raggedy Ann, that's the RF Bryan and I are sharing. Just for ID purposes I named them Raggedy Ann & Andy. I'm sorta past the time when I name everything. All the rain, being outside and feeding them protein (worms and chicken) seems to stimulate the laying. And of course, it's SPRING.

Re: Eggs at last
Congrats on MORE, Alice! I know you must have felt pretty frustrated when you broke one. It could be easy to miss the blood spot, especially if dirt got mixed into the egg when it broke, so while it might not have been fertile, it's not really a certain indication that the others are not! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you have fertile eggs and future babies!
