No eggs
My albino BP is 8 days past due from laying eggs. Being my 1st year of breeding I'm not sure what to do. I don't know if I'm jumping the gun or do I need to do something now? Any suggestions are welcome.

Re: No eggs
You are jumping the gun. If she is gravid, she will lay when she is ready. Can you feel the eggs? She may not have taken.
Re: No eggs
Yeah I can feel them. There's 5 from what I can feel. Her being gravid is not in question.

Thanks man. I definitely don't like waiting. Kills me after she lays eggs you gotta wait 60 days. Like I said this is my 1st year and I'm having a lot of fun doing it and learning a lot. I have a lot of good people that I can ask questions also.

Re: No eggs
That might have been post-ov shed....if she sheds again very soon, that might be your pre-lay shed! Thats what just happened to my Pastel! I figured she was due but has now gone back in to shed...probably another 25 to 30 days til laying!

Re: No eggs
Jeff you're probably right. Last time she shed was after ovulation. Feels like the eggs are starting to drop a little. I don't think its going to be a huge clutch because I only feel 4. The nice part is that lesser het. Axanthic keeps locking up with my Axanthic male. Hope to prove that out.

I definitely don't like waiting.
Just think how sweet the reward will be when she does lay, and then again when the eggs finally hatch! The best things come slowly!

Re: No eggs
we found that ours (all of them) last year took 29 days after last shed to lay and hatching takes 55 days almost exactly. Hope that helps.
Re: No eggs
It took my other ball python exactly 30 days to lay her eggs. The albino is 12 days late.

Re: No eggs
Does she show any signs of being ready to shed?......I know it's a little hard to tell on an albino!

Re: No eggs
Not that I can see. Think I should just let her be or try something else?

Re: No eggs
I could have sworn that she has already ovulated but it appears she's doing it now. The eggs felt fully developed so I don't know what's going on.
