Tell your wife she did good.

How do you all like your pug ?

My son wants one since he lives in an apartment.

Wow. Love the python. I bet he's an easy keeper.

Larry, most pugs have a good disposition and can be great companions but because they are brachycephalic (the official term for the flat face), they don't take heat or strenuous exercise very well. Another common issue I saw as a vet tech was their eyes popping out when they get excited, etc. because the eye sockets are so shallow. They can snort and snore a lot too, especially if their weight is not kept in check.

Yes, it's not pleasant. Some are more prone to it and a couple happened after the dog scratched its eye (prone to it too because their eyes stick out without a nose to help protect them) and started rubbing it. We removed a couple of eyes because of it. The vet I worked for believed another one was due to genetics-there just wasn't enough socket to hold the eye as the dog grew to an adult.
