Ready for winter

As usual I waiting until the last minute to set my shed set up for a winter redfoot tort habitat. Hoping to get a few more days out of summer I spent most of the morning re-digging a nesting spot outdoors with TLC potting soil, cypress mulch & manure potting soil. Then, still unsure of the weather, I pulled into the shed the two pond forms and filled them with mulch. The torts spent the night inside with the heater on low. Even tho' the weather channel online said it was above 55 degrees it felt colder so I didn't want to take any chances. The box turtles will stay outside although I will probably relent and bring the little ones in.
