Corn snakes
Someone is offering me a trade for a spider female. Could you guys/gals help me out?
He says that he has an entire clutch of 11 corn snakes; normals and amels (distribution unknown right now) that are two weeks old.
-#1 I don't anything about corn snakes.
-#2 two weeks old in ball pythons means they may or may not have even shed yet, so to determine if they are thriving or not would be guessing. Maybe corns are different?
-#3 He says I could sell the clutch cheaply and easily to cover the price of the female BP he'd like. I don't want corn snakes, so would anyone else like this corn snake clutc? If so, what would you be willing to pay for them?
Thx for your help in advance!

Scott,
Why doesn't he do the same thing that he's suggesting you do ?
Then when he has the money he could contact you again and save you the hassle.
Just a thought.
#2 Corns are the same.
At two weeks old they may or may not have had their first shed and after that they
may or may not have had their first meal.
#3 Normals and Amels (especially normals) are not high-end corn snakes and you can
get high quality hatchlings of both of them locally for around $25.00 - $45.00 each
from breeders.
You might be able to sell them "easily" at a show or to a pet store, but you wouldn't
be able to get as much for them at a pet store.
Hope this helps.

Says they have shed but not eaten yet.

That doesn't sound like a very good trade to me. I think he's tring to rip you off. But, I don't know much either. Like Larry said. He can sell them, then pay you for the BP

Re: Corn snakes
I agreee with others here... cash or trade only for something you want and let him sell the corns. What would you do with a bunch of corns you don't want and end up feeding and housing them while/if you find buyers? Sounds like a good deal for him. A lot of corns, especially at that size, are very common and I wouldn't bank on them.
