New custom stackable cages and stand
Just a few pics of my completed custom stackable cages and stand. I took the old cage and stand that was stained and repainted them and made the other cage. I had to make these since the two story cage I made started having issues with the plywood delaminating and falling apart. These are much better since they are easier to take down and move since they are separate units including the stand. The dimensions are 6 feet tall, 4 feet wide, and 2 feet deep. Let me know what you all think.

Thanks everyone. Robin, for the bottom cage I used a 50w short stem halogen bulb. I used a smaller wattage since the bulb is inside of the cage, so more of the heat stays in the cage. The top cage has the bulb outside since I already had the cutout made in the top when I originally made that cage.

This is pretty much what we're trying to plan out for our own herp room...the difficult part seems to be the logistics, lol. Looks great, man!

Wow Bryan, that looks great! I am also a fan of completely custom cages! Custom cages are very hard to beat in looks and cost!

Those are cool.
So your guys cant get up to the bulb inside the tank to get burned? I have seen some people have the lights inside but have mesh wire around the bulb.

Robin, at this point my savannah cannot physically reach the bulb. When she does get bigger, if it is neccasary I will install a wire guard around the bulb and fixture. With lizards especially the more intelligent monitor lizards the risk of them contacting the bulb is not as likely as it would be with snakes. Snakes have a tendency to wrap around unprotected bulbs in the cage and get burned.
