its almost time

The weather is gonna be steady in the mid 70s and it is almost time. I'm getting ready just need a new back pack. So when are you guys gonna start? I'm ready to see some pics.

I am lucky I have corp of engineer land right beside my house and it leads straight to the lake. I might try to hit that later this week.

In my experiences, the corps are pretty "anal".

Welp I was out mowing the back yard and my wife was moving stuff. She found a hognose. She saied that she yelled for me but I couldn't hear her. It freaked her out when it flipped on its back and played dead. Man I wish she would have grabbed it for me.

Well, this last week I was in Colorado, and I did a bit of herping on the warmest day. I actually saw a lot of fence lizards! I saw a total of about 9 different ones, but I was only able to successfully capture two!
They are very good at getting between/below large rocks before they can be grabbed! lol I'll post pics as soon as I can!
Tomorrow I will be going herping a little around Shawnee (sorry, I don't have time to make it to the blue river trip). So happy it is essentially herping season now!!!!

Ya it killed me that I didn't hear her. At least they are around here. Id like to go herping in colorado. Fence lizards are really fast and hard to catch, but they are really cool. I'm happy that the herp weather is back. I've been watching the forcast. I'm hoping larry and whoever met up with him have some luck today for sure.
