bengal spotted ornamental
Is the bengal spotted ornamental one of the more aggresive T's? My Chilean Rose is pretty boring!

it's not one i would handle. it's lightning quick and very beautiful. much more interesting than a rose hair.
Tarantulas for sale
When you sell your tarantulas, do you have people come to your house to pick them up or how does this work? I would really like to see what you have for sale. I am wanting one thats more fun to watch (maybe one that doesn't completely hide all the time). I have Rosie to play with when I want, I don't need 2 docile ones!

If you want a spider that won't hide as much, I would recommend an arboreal species. Since you are still a little bit new to the tarantula hobby, I would not recommend an ornamental, but maybe something in the Avicularia genus. Those, versicolors in particular, are some of my favorites. Most terrestrial species will stay hidden most of the time, although the chaco golden knees have been known to stay out in the open. I had one of those for a while, and she would just sit on top of her hide and look pretty . The firelegs are also amazing looking spiders, and Cameron has this one for a killer deal, but I don't have experience with them, so I can't tell you if they stay hidden or out in the open.
A good "more aggressive" spider to start out with would be something like a Costa Rican Tiger Rump. They are really nice looking black spiders with orange "tiger stripes" on their abdomen. They are also very inexpensive. I have a couple of babies of this species right now, and they are a lot of fun. They can be mean little suckers, but their venom isn't nearly as bad as an ornamental or baboon.

Tarantulas
Is there a good place around to find some of these Avicularia genus? Or do you get them over the internet? I have seen some gorgeous pic's on the internet but it does not give their common name. I will have to do more research. I would love to go somewhere and look at them. I know Alligator Alley has some but not many.

You can come by and check out what I got, no problem. I don't have much anymore, I got rid of a lot during the past year. The ornamentals are very cool to look at, one of the best looking tarantulas in my opinion. You just gotta watch the speed. The fireleg I have is gorgeous also, and it stays out all the time. It has substrate to burrow in but doesn't. The metallic pink toe I have is pretty also, but stays in it's web a lot. I also have a regular pink toe who stays webbed up a lot. If you are wanting a good "show" tarantula, the fire leg would be a great choice. Although, the salmon birdeater would be great too. It's not as pretty, but gets much bigger. It also stays out most of the time.
**Also, in regards to aggressive vs non aggressive...for me there is not differece. I don't handle any of them. So, keeping an aggressive tarantula is no issue to me. My first tarantuls was an OBT (orange baboon). Very aggressive, but if you pay attention to what you are doing all the time, it is no big deal.
Tarantulas for sale
Do you want to e-mail me at robinbrown11@tds.net to set up a time to come look? I don't know your work schd or if the weekend would be better. I don't want to make it inconvenient for you. I'm not 100% sure I will buy one, but it's a good chance!

Re: Tarantulas and cages *UPDATED LIST AND PRICES*
have the tanks for these any longer? Is the Chaco you have left holdable and calm?
Re: Tarantulas and cages *UPDATED LIST AND PRICES*
yeah, i have a few tanks left, sorry. the chaco is only about 1.5" long, so i wouldn't reccomend holding it. however, chaco's are known for being docile. i had a large female before that was very calm and handleable.
