First Hatchling!
Mother is Hati (formerly Rolo)
Father is Beluga (from Off the Rhac, this is Erin's picture)
Sooo excited. Letting the cute little thing sit in the incubator for now to rest. I'll have her in her own baby setup tomorrow!
This was a retained sperm baby . . . Hati last saw Beluga in . . . September, I think Erin told me? The clutch was laid 2/18 . . . one was a dud.
Later I went ahead and moved her to a deli cup with paper towel and a piece of egg crate because I was worried about the hatchrite sticking to her. Real setup will come tomorrow!
1.6g.

New photos!!
The setup:
Wood dowels, pipe insulation, dollar store plant, paper towels, and a tiny eggcrate hide all in a shoebox-sized sterilite container. Total cost for the setup? Around two bucks.
Not to mention the bottle cap food dish that was added shortly thereafter.

Cresteds are awesome. I love the combination of ease of care and uniqueness of care . . . with their own special diet and the fact that you don't have to throw bugs at them unless you want to.
Paper towels are the best substrate for them, actually. All of mine are on paper towels except for two adult girls who are in a planted viv.
