Surplus Black Widows

I just wanted to see if there is enough interest for me to collect the extra black widows living on my house? I have found 5 adult females, 1 subadult female, 3 males, and 7+ egg sacs-two of which I've got to watch balloon out. They love to put a web just under the eave and feed on the insects attracted to the dark (warm) brick at night. If they survive the cooler weather until the meeting on the 20th and anyone wants one, let me know and I'll bring them with me. It seems like I'm farming black widows.

I would love one but it will have to wait a bit i think, don't see myself getting out there anytime soon

I want one. What should I get to keep it in? A kritter keeper or could that be escaped?

32 oz tall deli cup with a ventilated lid works well. Put some twigs in therebetween for web building.

The poor thing wouldn't have much room to move in. Can't think of anything else that would be a little bigger thats arboreal but not to big either.

if they have a steady source of food, they will not need to move much. that is plenty of room for them. one bit of info on the ventilation...get a deli cup lid with the cloth ventilation. if she has a sack and hatches it...those little buggers are tiny and WILL escape through your ventilation holes....
