Python Photoshoot
Starting with Thor, the male bar neck scrub, he is always on the move wanting to be anywhere except where i want him
And his future girlfriend, Valkyrie...completely opposite in personality...she is an angry... ANGRY animal and always looks like she wants to take my face off...yet she never actually strikes.... is just very very cautious of me still.
(can ya tell she's a pissy little snake?)
My favorite one of her. "I want to eat your face"
Next, my new little dwarf retic, Kenaz, also on the move and not wanting to pose really
And my first python, the IJ carpet, getting to be a good size now, Thanatos.

I think Valkyrie is cute.. she just needs some lipstick and she wont look near as aggressive. Try photoshop!

Very nice looking barnecks! It's great to see another person in this state with scrub pythons. Those are from David Means right?

They most certainly are from David Means that jerk somehow managed to con me into getting a pair when I was only lookin to get one lol
I highly recommend him to anyone who is lookin for scrubs though! Awesome guy
I do love the scrubs, they are the most challenging snakes i have at the moment and I get the feeling that female is going to be a challenge for many years to come hehehe

Re: Python Photoshoot
Yeah David is a great guy. I just got an subadult pair of barnecks from him recently. Him and I also are working on a few joint scrub projects. I definitely recommend him to anyone looking for some nice scrubs. And the female most likely will calm down in a couple years once she gets some size on her. Captive bred scrubs usually calm down after a few years.Sylvias wrote:They most certainly are from David Means that jerk somehow managed to con me into getting a pair when I was only lookin to get one lol

Kenaz is quite stunning!! I really don't know anything about any of the other snakes except for Ball Pythons, my own passion, but honestly - Kenaz is enough to make me want to learn more about his breed.

Re: Python Photoshoot
Retics are awesome of course! but not for the feint of heart
They are the worlds longest growing snake and can reach lengths upwards of 20ft, with the largest on record being measured at 33ft i believe.
Average length is closer to 18ft though. Because of this size though and their rather regal attitude they definitely require respect and more than one person to handle.
all that being said... my retic, pictured here, is a dwarf local and i will be lucky if he tops out at 10ft
