New addition
Picked a red tail up from an auction on Saturday. Having problems trying to I.D. what kind it is. Searched high and low on the internet, multiple texts to friends and 3 forums later still no definet. Here's a couple pics:

Don't know much about boas but nice pick up. How big is he/she?

Just under 4 feet. The coloring is what is confusing me on correctly identifying them. He/she is in great shape, took food today without any problems and really tame.

I don't even find that pattern in a book I have on Boas. Could it be a color variation from not being the right temp when incubated? Or am I being stupid on that one?

The coloration and pattern is for sure different. I think that boa looks cool. Good luck man. Wish I knew more about em.

I need luck lol. Gonna take him/her down to the show Sunday to see if someone can give me a little more insight and possibly see if I can trade him/her for something that fits my collection better.

What's with the him/her? It's a boa. Look for spurs. Males have them and females don't. I wish pythons were that easy.
Re: New addition
I forgot about that for boas. Next time I have them out I will check. Thanks for reminding me.

Re: New addition
Took her to the show on Saturday to have a couple vendors look at her. The consensus was a BCL with nice markings. I was gonna keep her awhile and then sell her, but the girlfriend has become attached to her so it looks like I got a new snake lol.

Re: New addition
She is amazing. She is a hugger and a little jumpy, but her temperament is great. I think she will be a good addition to the family.
