RIP Big Momma
Well, I knew this day would come way too soon from moment I first saw Big Momma. She had been through alot before I ever got her. From being abondoned, then run over by a car and being rescued and patched up. She had a long and rough life. We have no clue as to how old she really was. But we have guessed that she was well into her mid to late teens or even early twenties. A snake of her species and size doesn't get to her proportions in a few short years like some snakes do.
Big Momma was such an awesome animal and definetly a one of a kind animal. She was the exception to the rule for her species. We all say some things are irreplaceable, and she is one of those things. There will never be another snake that can replace her.
I was honored to be given the oppourtunity to care for such a amazing creature. She had literally become a family member. She wasn't just a snake or a pet, she was........ BIG MOMMA.

Pat,
I am so sorry for your loss, but at least you made her last years great. I'm sure she would thank you for that.

How sad! I'm really sorry man. I know alot of people would think we are weird and snakes don't have personalities, but they do. We get attached to them just like we do other pets. They have a movie called All Dogs Go To Heaven.Maybe you should write an article about her journey and turn it in to the Reptile magazine!
