First Cluth of Ball Pythons
I'm so psyched to say one of my Normal females X Spider male had a clutch of four good eggs today! I'm soooo excited! I have three more females that look like they are about to bust any day too. I was really beginning to sweat as more and more of my buddies on FB were putting up picture after picture of egg clutches. I was beginning to wonder what I was doing wrong and was surprised to see four good eggs in her tub today(candled). They are now in the incubator and hopefully will produce some spiders for me in two months! We took pics I'll post asap! We cleaned the mother off thoroughly and then we gave her tub and everything in it a big cleaning to get rid of egg smell. She dropped from 1600+ to a little over 1000 grams. Hopefully she'll start eating soon.

Congrats! I can't wait until the day I am breeding snakes! Successfully getting a clutch of eggs must be very exciting, and hatching them even more so!!!

"0.0.2 Dang Ducks -don't ask!"
I'm going to ask anyway. How did you end up keeping ducks? Easter present?

Re: First Cluth of Ball Pythons
My wife went to the atwoods store I believe it was and came home with two lil baby ducks. They are almost a month and can go outside to a secure pen full time. I'm gonna build them a house that's 4' cube and a 4x8' long run attached all secured with hardware cloth etc to make sure they are safe or at least as safe as I can make it for them. They gotta get outa my house. We change the bedding every day and they still stink. Now they are older we have been putting them outside in the front yard in a big plastic gate thing the keeps them inside. They eat and drink out there and get sun during the day and we bring them back inside to the large aquarium with just water at night. Pain in the butt. But we have learned a lot and they are pretty cute. But geesh. They are like big rabbits with diarrhea. They stink when kept all day in the aquarium. . Glad they are past that age. Eat poop. That's it.

Ducks are a lot of fun, except for the poop factory part. I had several when I was younger, all of them were mallard ducks though, not the white ones.

Re: First Cluth of Ball Pythons
I have no idea what kind of duck the two kinds are... 1 is a yellow duck with a weird blot of hair on its head. The other is a brown with yellow swirled into it... kinda looks like a camo mixture. So she named them Butterscotch and Cami.
Re: First Cluth of Ball Pythons
Well we just had a second clutch of 9 eggs. I got some of them coming out on video I'll put it on YouTube and list the link. . One more batch to go for sure and I'm working on another after that but we'll see.

Cool video. Those eggs look as big around as she is! I wonder if they have the same pain's giving "birth" as we do
