Field Herping Goals for 2011
Since we can't do it yet, at least we can talk about field herping this year. What are everyone's goals or target species to find this year?
As always, I would love to find a hognose, preferably Western, but I would settle for an Eastern. I've always wanted to see one of them do their "play dead" act in person.
Also, I would love to find a rough green snake. I stepped right over one last year and another guy found it. Made me sick.
Besides those 2, I just want to find a lot of snakes, and maybe a legless lizard or 2.
What about everyone else?

Oh boy, there's a lot I'd love to find!
The major ones I'd love to find this year include: Bull Snake (a huge one!), Western Hognose, Speckled King Snake, Milk Snake, Texas Long-nosed Snake, Prairie Rattlesnake, and a Timber Rattlesnake!
I'd also love lots of big coachwhips, racers, and rat snakes (as usual)!

We want you to go too. Let us know if there is a date that works best for you, and we can always go to Blue River, Pontotoc Ridge, or road cruising pretty much any time.

I have an opportunity to spend a little time in W. Ky/Tennessee Valley this season and am hoping to find a few lifers.....Scarlet King, Crowned Snake, etc.
