Some nice shots I got of some native pit-vipers
Here are some pit-vipers I photographed a few days ago.
This is an adult Pygmy Rattlesnake that I caught road-hunting a few nights ago.
These next photos are of a cottonmouth and a copperhead that my friend Greg Mayberry caught (He lent them to me for a few days so I could photograph them).

I don't know for sure, but I think it is an intergrade between a broad banded and an osage. I have heard that in some areas that they often mix.

I love that blueish color that Osage copperheads have. I think they would be my first choice if I was going to keep hots.

You should go with us on a road hunt sometime. When we have found things this year, they have almost always been venomous.
Re: Some nice shots I got of some native pit-vipers
I'd love to anytime!

Sorry, the cottonmouth and the copperhead were both released where they were caught, and I gave the pygmy rattlesnake to Johnny Abbott (a member of ochs that trades pygmies to some guys in Texas for other snakes).
