I will keep an eye out for one. I havent been out there before so its gonna be a new experience. I have no idea what to look forward to. Im expecting RES of course, some frogs, maybe a couple salamanders, skinks, and who knows what snakes im hoping for maybe a king. Or maybe I will find a place to find a collared lizard Ive never actually caught one.

Joshua,
When you go be sure to check.
It's illegal to hunt at many of the lakes around Oklahoma now.
I don't know about Lake Chickasha though.

Re: Lake Chickasha
I know how you feel.
I really enjoyed hunting around lakes.
It may be OK where you're going though.
I've never checked about that lake.

Alligator Alley You have to pay for what you find though
Re: Lake Chickasha
Hopefully you'll be able to come with us on some of our hunts.
We go all over the state.
Sometimes we have real good luck and sometimes we don't, but
we usually always have fun.
When you're with a group of herpers, it's hard to be bored.
Watch your emails and check the "Calendar" tab on our website.

Re: Lake Chickasha
The lake is owned by the city of chickasha, they probably won't care if you herp hunt. The police/lake patrol are more worried about the drunks and offroaders than anything.

Re: Lake Chickasha
In this heat, with little to no rain, it's hard to find very many herps.
