A present for a rescuer... Empty A present for a rescuer...

Just thought I'd add some food for thought to those who still see rescue through rose colored glasses... Very Happy I had a boa come into rescue over the weekend and the former owner, who is not a herper, thought he needed a "full belly" for his several hour long road trip. I have seen a lot over the years, but for some reason, this one got me. I could count several regurgitated mice and probably two more that were not recognizable. If I had already eaten breakfast, I would have lost it. I was completely gagged for the first time in a long time. The only thing I can think of that made it SO putrid is that maybe this was the first healthy animal that has regurgiated that volume on me so the rodents were more digested. Whew, what a way to wake up. pale

Glad I could help. It was pretty bad if it gagged me. LOL. The bullsnake has been between mellow and sounding like a compressor blowing and going. Their defense display has always amazed me.
