I haven't had as much luck this season as of yet... Just a Flat-headed Snake, Rough Earth Snake, two Texas Brown Snakes, and several Five-lined Skinks so far.

Now I'm really jealous. Our first herp hunt can't come fast enough.

Yeah, I was really excited about it (as was the grad student herpetologist that was with me)! This was actually the third flat-headed snake that I have seen in the wild. But I still do tend to enjoy catching the larger snakes (even the really common ones) than the tiny little terrestrial/fossorial species! lol

Got off work Thursday evening and headed for the flashes of lightning....
