Info re Feeder Sources
The source I have been using for frozen mice & rats is closing their doors.
I have been ordering in bulk from Texas to reduce my per feeder costs. I know other companies provide similar services, but I don't know anything about them.
So I would really like to hear from people who have used other sources--experiences, why you like a particular company, tips for ordering from a particular company, etc.
I do not want to turn this into a company-bashing thread, though, so if you have had bad experiences, it might be best to pm me about those. If you don't have good things to say about a particular company, tell me about another company you do like and why.
Thanks!
Sandy

Sandy,
I can't speak from personal experience, but a lot of folks seem to like Rodent Pro.

I've tried a few others, but I have always had good luck with Rodent Pro products and their customer service. I usually place a large order annnually. Another up side, the hot buys are usually pretty good and you can shop online, get a shipping quote and complete your order online. It's convenient.

Rodent Pro. Even after shipping, nobody beats their prices. I've always ended up with excellent quality rodents from them. That gift certificate you won will come in handy
Re: Info re Feeder Sources
We have a local guy that sells frozen and another that is selling live.
Chris Curtus is selling frozen everything. His number is (405) 923-0539.
Brad at exotic aquatics & more sells live rats and mice. His number is (405) 672-9205.
Both of these guys prices are good and better then rodent pros price after you have to pay the shipping costs.

If that is true, I'll have to check into them. I average about $.50 per adult mouse after shipping with Rodent Pro, so I have my doubts. I guess it depends on what you need.
Re: Info re Feeder Sources
I know they are cheaper on the larger stuff. It cost alot more the ship the big rats.

Yeah, I would definitely buy those locally. Also, I like to order from "the little guy" when I can, even if it is slightly more expensive.
Re: Info re Feeder Sources
Michael, I agree--that gift certificate will definitely come in handy for giving Rodent Pro a try! Sounds like I may check out several places; I also agree with you about supporting the local or "little guy" when buying if I can. If the price difference is in the right direction or if it is a fairly small difference in the upward direction AND the quality is good, I will be happy to buy from locals!
I really appreciate all the info, everyone! THANKS!

I use rodent pro. but there's a guy in tulsa that I'm going to start buying from. I have an excellent guy that breeds rabbits and he's pretty cheap. having that said I've never had any trouble with rodent pro. all of the sizes were pretty good. their customer service is outstanding.
