Tadpole nursery
Came home from the recent herp show with two Dendrobates tinctorius "Cobalt" tadpoles. First time I have raised tadpoles, unless you count the dadblasted bullfrog that laid eggs in my fishpond. I'm like a little kid on her first field trip to a pond. Someone has to restrain me when these herp shows come around, all my "no buying" resolutions go out the window. Maybe it's because the holiday spirit is all over town, I am also fostering a dog from The Bella Foundation. My zoo grows larger.

Re: Tadpole nursery
I've never got to see dart frog tadpoles; I bet they're cute! If that dadblasted bullfrog comes back this spring, I'd be happy to take a few tadoples off your hands.

Re: Tadpole nursery
One of the tadpoles, hatched 11/1/11, finally has achieved enough maturity to sit on my finger, breathing air and acting more like a frog. It still has a partial tail but I put it in a regular tank since his lungs are developed fully. The other tadpole is still quite a few days from this stage. It has been very interesting watching their progress.

Re: Tadpole nursery
I'm jealous. I've watched hundreds of native tadpoles grow but never a dart tadpole. AAhhh,
