Re: Greybands
nice looking grey band. I feel like I'm starting to get out numbered. What happened to all of the python lovers? Sorry for hijacking your thread . I've just noticed that theres a lot of pics of colubrids. Diversity is a good thing though. It would be boring if we all liked the same thing. Good looking snakes for sure.

Re: Greybands
I feel like colubrid keepers are way outnumbered by python lovers as a whole in the hobby in the US (mainly by the Ball Python bandwagon thing). Have you seen the OKC herp shows? lol But yes, I agree that lately on this forum there has been a rise in the number of colubrid pics and posts (not that I am complaining ).ZakO wrote:nice looking grey band. Re: Greybands
Zako; I'm personally more into colubrids because temperate zone colubrids are easier to heat/cool properly in our area. I kind of hope at some point people en masse start realizing that and gravitate towards the neat colubrids that are underrated

Re: Greybands
if it makes you feel any better, I have been doing colubrids for 15+ years and that's all i have ever done. I sort of dabbled in the python thing if by dabbled you mean got a couple of het albinos and fed them for a long time without actually doing anything with them, other than that it has always been kings and milks for me.

Re: Greybands
The way I view it is to each their own. Ive always had pythons. The only colubrid that I have is a speckled king snake. I like the big pythons myself. I keep a few retics here and there and yes I am on the (ball python band wagon) also. Everybody has their own preferences. I think the rat snakes that Cameron H has are nice for sure. I'd like to have a few of those. Hopefully I'll have some ball python and retic eggs this year. Anyways I do like those kings. Good looking snakes man.
