went in to my son's room this morning and his tarantula was hanging from the top of the scree lid. silly thing doesn't know it's terrestrial....might have to add more substrate in case she does it again so she won't burst her abdomen if she falls...

My rose haired T used to do that every now and then also! I ended up putting her in a large critter keeper instead of a ten gallon (as the fall wasn't near as far). I also put a thick layer of substrate in there for her like you mentioned.
