Pele, just flown in from New York.
I love getting lucky when a gecko breeder I like is moving across the country . . .
Her colors remind me of a volcano, hence the name. She's really a lot darker than this, almost black with the red and gold, but my camera is poop.
Everyone send me girl vibes!
She's currently 4.1g.
The breeder told me that once she pulled this one out and got a good look at her fired-up colors, she almost kept her . . . and would have if she wasn't having to move. Ha! Mine.
The crests on her head are white-tipped (a favorite trait of mine) and her pinning/crests are darker and redder toward her head, then lighten up with a nice gradient effect to her bum.
Best anniversary present ever, thanks to my partner. Lucky 7 years!

Here are pics from the breeder that show her color better in natural light and a MUCH better camera:

i have no scientific evidence to prove this but i think if you set her up next to a male enclosure and play Barry Manalow cds to her it will happen

She's settling in well, cleaned her bowl of roaches, and is happily licking up CGD already.
I'm amazed at how quickly the kids I've gotten from Cloud 9 Reptiles have gotten over shipping and started eating. Less than a day! Takes many crested geckos a couple of weeks.
