Update on "Striker" the Rosy Boa
I figured I put an update about how our snakes are getting along. The Rosy Boa has gained a lot of weight and grown longer (my daughter has measured her but I cannot remember what she said). I will be weighing her soon to make sure we shouldn't put her on a diet.
The girls learned what happens when you do not handle your snake often enough. "Striker" became a little moody being cooped up all of the time. They have since adjusted their daily schedules to include snake time again. I am very proud of my 9 year old for working with her snake even though she was afraid she would bite her (a fear based on how she was acting each week when she got her out to feed her). The natural consequences of not handling her spoke louder than what I can. "Striker" loves to be out and exploring with her girl, not caged and she made that very clear. It doesn't take much to make her happy and now she is even nice at feeding time again.

Rosies are awesome snakes, great for beginners.
