Endangered Species Act
Has anyone here dealt with an endagered species on your land? I am working on a program about ESA species, etc. and also how they can have such a negative impact on landowners. I would like personal experiences if anyone is willing. Has anyone done a self-assessment evaluation or a HCP (habitat conservation plan) or other? I know it can be a nightmare even for landowners who genuinely want to do their part to preserve a species but yet they can't build a house on their own land, etc. Thanks for any input you can give. I'm well aware that it's a touchy subject and rightly so.
Thanks, Tandy

I understand-that's why I specified past tense instead of present. I don't blame anyone at all. LOL. Tandy

I'm a bit green and even I wouldn't say if I had endangered species. Sometimes I think the ESA has been more detrimental than helpful.

LOL. No doubt about that. That's my purpose for doing this program-to educate people about all facets of it-the good, the bad, and the ugly.
