My new Redfoot!
I just got my new redfoot in. She (temp sexed, so hopefully will be a "she") was born this past Christmas day. I got her from Vicki at Tortoiseyard.com.
She is awesome! Still has no name yet....
fresh out of the box....
warm soak...
found her new hide already...
her enclosure...

Re: My new Redfoot!
I hear that.
I know of no species of tortoise that I don't really like.
Looks like you're well on your way to having a great
collection.
Besides the Russians, do you plan to breed any of them ?

Re: My new Redfoot!
My wife and I are looking for an sub adult/adult female sulcata. She wants to breed them, it would be pretty cool do to that. I am also hoping I fall in love with this redfoot, I would love to have a whole herd of them also. Other than that, no other plans on breeding. I do however intend on getting an aldabra also...within the next 3-4 years I hope. I want it to get big while I'm still around to enjoy it!

I'm sure you're already aware of this, but you really need a Forest Hinge-back and a Pancake also.

That's really a great looking tortoise you got there. The babies have so much color. And an excellent home to grow up in.

Nice tort man. I like the viv also. I think chris was saying he might have red foot eggs this year. I know he's trying.

Too cute. I love the last pic where your holding her up and the food is as big as her head. She sure didn't want to let go of it did she!

Re: My new Redfoot!
well unfortunately there will not be any more updated pics of this little girl. last week our neighbor's dog dug under my fence and got into my backyard. it ate the redfoot and chewed on the shell of a friend's tortoise that i'm watching. i was at work when it happened. monica called me and told me. if i was there, there would be one less dog in the world right now.
